Colophon Charts New Course for Swift Marine’s Website

Charleston, SC-based boat repair company Swift Marine recently came to Colophon New Media with a big task that is not all that uncommon among Colophon’s customers: rebuilding a clean, efficient website — whose previous iteration was bogged down by page builders and plug-ins — to improve its performance and streamline it for SEO purposes.

There’s a massive difference between the old Swift Marine website and the new one. The high-impact changes Colophon made include not only substantial improvements to the site’s back-end structure and hosting setup, but how the live, front-end version looks to the steadily increasing number of visitors it now draws per day.

From a difficult-to-maintain site with dozens of plugins to a new-and-improved modern website — complete with simple, search engine-friendly code and straightforward maintenance — the “before-and-after” that the online home of Swift Marine has experienced is a sight to behold.
