Colophon New Media’s latest project continued its longstanding partnership with Origin Point Brands.

After previously helping OPB meet the web needs of ForgeRight Fences, YardLink Fences, Pet Sentinel and IronCraft Fences, Colophon began working on the ReadyGuard website last fall. Recently, it completed a full website design for the Summerville, SC-based manufacturer of safety barrier posts and panels.

The simple, effective new online home of ReadyGuard showcases the company’s top-of-the-line offering and makes it easy for customers to get in touch.

 

 The Company

ReadyGuard is one of a number of trusted manufacturers under the Origin Point Brands portfolio.

RG has become a trusted designer and provider of top-tier safety fencing for commercial/industrial application throughout the Lowcountry and beyond.

In addition to covering customers’ fencing needs, ReadyGuard also offers building materials, lawn and garden, pet containment, chain link fencing and home organization.

 The Challenge

Colophon’s work on the new ReadyGuard website encompassed two phases.

First, we quick stood up a landing page in the fall of 2024 ahead of a key ReadyGuard conference. That page contained a contact form and a downloadable PDF of RG’s product catalog, but interested parties had to provide their email to be able to access that PDF. This process was executed seamlessly — and as a result, ReadyGuard was able to build a lengthy list of hot leads for its email marketing and outreach efforts.

The second phase of this project yielded the full website you see today. Now, visitors to readyguardsafety.com can learn all they need to know about every product in the ReadyGuard catalog. We’re also proud of this site’s design/layout, which accomplishes two crucial objectives:

  • A) it invokes precisely the industrial feel that potential customers are looking for
  • B) it makes finding quotes for products a breeze via conveniently placed CTAs throughout the site

 The Process

Colophon stuck to its tried-and-true three-phase web development process while communicating in great detail with the OPB team throughout this project.

Each OBP property’s website is carefully designed to convey a certain feel, and in the case of ReadyGuard, the vibe is industrial-quality, impenetrable security. The site gives off trustworthiness and dependability, starting with the homepage’s close-up of a heavy-duty gate door and lock.

 The Solution

One of the highlights of the ReadyGuard website that we have not yet touched on is the effective — and attractive — showcasing of ReadyGuard’s SKU’s across every product page of the website. At the same time, the site’s design is doing its job of driving visitors to get in touch for a quote on their desired product.

We’re proud of the simplicity and mobile-friendliness of the design, and we’re pleased with how effectively ReadyGuard’s new site is already proving at lead generation and customer acquisition.
