 The Company

With offices in Charleston and Myrtle Beach SC, Carolina Limo provides safe, reliable luxury transportation services across the region.

 The Challenge

Joe Reinhardt started Carolina Limo in 2007 in Myrtle Beach, SC. The company quickly grew based on its sterling reputation for safe, reliable transportation services. With a fleet of over 40 luxury vehicles and a highly professional and dedicated staff, Carolina Limo was dominant in the Myrtle Beach market, had expanded to Wilmington, NC and was continuing to grow. Mr. Reinhardt next made plans to expand to the Charleston, SC market.

The Carolina Limo website was very old and out-of-date. The site maintenance relied on a single developer who had built the site many years ago and was now focusing on other priorities. Carolina Limo came to Colophon to upgrade their web presence as part of their expansion into the Charleston market. The strategy was to create a powerful new website that could be scaled to new regions and would allow customers to explore and book services.

 The Process

Three months in advance of any website design work, Colophon starts with a marketing campaign. Prior to design, Colophon combined paid search in Google and social media management to become familiar with the market and to prepare to expand the company’s footprint in Charleston, SC. Carolina Limo was already doing business in the Holy City and garnering grass roots support from loyal customers.

The ground was set to enhance their online presence but prior to spending money on search marketing in Charleston, the plan was to complete the new website, and then push visitors to a website that would create a lasting first impression and convert visitors to customers.

 

 The Solution

The web design design process started with an inventory of content on the legacy site and a map of what would be required for the new site. Once a winning concept emerged, Colophon programmed a new custom WordPress theme for Carolina Limo that includes a full suite of content controls to keep the site growing and thriving.

The new website works hand-in-glove with the now expanded marketing campaign that targets Charleston regional consumers and works to develop brand continuity across all touch points for Carolina Limo.

When the new site was completed, an online press release  was sent to announce Carolina Limo’s expansion into Charleston.

Hosted on state-of-the-art WordPress-optimized servers, Carolina Limo is protected by a security suite and monitored 24-7.

Future plans for the website include the addition of new service regions, an online booking system and an expanded blog content.
