 The Company

Beemok needs no introduction to anyone in the Charleston area.

In a nutshell, the company is the family office that Ben and Kelly Navarro established in 2018 to manage their wide range of investment and philanthropic initiatives, which span the following industries:

 The Challenge

Few projects have required Colophon to turn around a larger-scale new website in less time (this large custom website was completed in just a month), but Colophon was up to the task.

In April, the Beemok team realized it needed a centralized website to spell out what the company and its many subsidiaries stand for and hold as core values, and wanted to accelerate the timeline.

One of the most crucial features of this project was the community news page, a one-stop destination featuring the latest on every Beemok-owned organization.

 The Process

Within two weeks of receiving the brief for this expedited project, Colophon had put together a dev site that it was able to share with the Beemok team.

From there, Colophon needed just two more weeks to implement over 300 edits and action items and launch the completed version of Beemok.com that you see today.

The highlights of the extensive work that went into this included a heavy lift by Colophon lead designer Ramiro Modica. He expertly managed the challenging task of creating a sprawling new site where the brand identity of the Beemok holdco was ever-present across a site featuring the double-digit organizations within the Beemok family of businesses.

Colophon Digital Content Coordinator Vinicius Coelho also deserves to be mentioned by name here for the impressive way he managed the long list of action items that launching this website entailed, all while meeting one tight deadline after another.

 The Solution

Beemok.com is a stunning website that boasts an inviting, mobile-friendly design while offering a wealth of valuable insight into what this company is all about.

The easy-to-navigate site features much more than just the story of how the Navarros built Beemok into what it is today.

It also features bio pages for the rest of the Beemok leadership team, plus an in-depth portfolio section that links to each organization’s individual site and explains the history and vision of that organization.

The most unique, noteworthy aspect of this site is the Community News page, which is also integrated into each page of the portfolio section. With a visit to Beemok’s Community News page, you can easily stay abreast on the latest from all 15+ Beemok-owned organizations. We’re also proud of the design of this website, which seamlessly incorporates the latest news about each organization into the dedicated page for each company in the portfolio.
